I kept forgetting to log my work. So we built something that quietly notices what you’re doing — privately, on your own machine — and keeps the notes for you.
Not a boss’s surveillance tool. A note-taker that works for the person being recorded. Built with Thishya, my co-founder, who was facing the exact same problem.

02 · The story
A small, boring problem I refused to leave alone
In an internship I was asked to keep a progress log. I made it easy — dictate the task to Claude, let it write the entry. It lasted two weeks. Then I quit.
Everyone’s “record” is scattered — a note here, an email there, a Notion doc, a text to yourself. Nobody keeps it. It’s a chore stacked on the work.

It came back once I was running Wasabie and Thishya mentioned she was facing the exact same thing — hearing it from her validated it for both of us. So we asked one thing: what if the laptop just saw what I was doing? The smallest test answered it — it felt like someone sitting beside me, quietly taking notes.

The Hubstaffs and Time Doctors are employee-monitoring software — the employer installs them, the data flows up to a manager, and the person on the keyboard is the subject. Prruf is the opposite, on purpose.

Everyone deserves a clean record of what they did — without a timer to start, a log to write, or a boss watching over their shoulder. That’s the whole reason Prruf exists: the record is yours, and no one has to be trusted for it.
